Michele & Dennis
If I could go back to this elopement, and tell myself exactly how to get to this location in the middle of Stanley Park- I would. I remember leaving 2 hours before I was scheduled to start, and then traffic ended up being the worst, my google maps took me the wrong way, and then told me I had arrived as I was about to get onto the Lion’s Gate Bridge. Well… to say I had a minor freak out would be the understatement of the century. I always give myself plenty of time, and usually arrive at least 30 minutes prior to my standard start time.
I remember getting back into Stanley Park, pulling into a parking spot at Prospectors Point, and sending out a wish to the universe that I would get a parking ticket or towed and running through Stanley Park, trying to find the location. I ran 3KM with ALL my gear, arrived out of breath, 15 minutes late, to find out that no one but the bride and the officiant, Jonathan, was there yet. The groom arrived 25 minutes later, and everything was totally fine.
Dennis and Michele had their adorable son, Dylan, only a few months prior, and he was able to be apart of their wedding day. They shared meaningful vows in front of their family and close friends, and then headed for dinner right after. They were so much fun, and I’m so grateful that I got to be apart of their big day! Congratulations again, Michele and Dennis!
