Madison & Matthew - Married

“I love her, and that’s the beginning and end of everything.” - F. Scott Fitzgerald

This was probably the sweetest wedding we’ve ever been to… and yes, I did say we!

Did I mention that Andy is a wedding officiant, and we work together still- he officiates ceremonies and I photograph. It reminded me of all the old times of when we used to photograph weddings together. I have to say, and I know I’m SO biased, but Andy does a mean job of a ceremony. I bawled like a baby. So, if you are looking for a wedding officiant, I cannot recommend him more! Check out his website and info here!

Back to this adorable wedding… I got to work with some amazing vendors (see a list of them at the bottom!) and Matthew & Madison’s reception was at the ever gorgeous Nita Lake Lodge in Whistler. Originally when M & M got engaged, they were talking about just the two of them would elope with Andy & I in tow, and then they would have the big party when they got back with Family and Friends. But into the planning, eloping without their family just didn’t seem right. So instead, they had their siblings and parents there… and it was perfect.

Of course, the way winter/ early spring weddings go is that the weather almost never cooperates. So while they were supposed to get married under the typical cloudy sky, it snowed that day. Their brilliant coordinator extraordinaire, Liz from Brilliant Events found this adorable little open cabin just 100 feet down the path from where they were supposed to get married… and honestly, it was SO much better than the original spot (which is so gorgeous anyways).

Everything about their day was them… it was so personal, and utterly gorgeous. These two share such a wonderful and supportive love that really does win. Matthew loves Madison in a way that fierce and free, and allows her to be the woman she is supposed to be; and in return, Madison loves Matthew whole heartedly with passion and purpose.

Also- Madison is a very talented interior/ graphic designer, is a total boss babe and crushing it, so it was so aesthetically beautiful and simple and perfect. There wasn’t a dry eye when they exchanged vows, were pronounced husband and wife, and I’m sure later in the evening during speeches, it was just as emotional and wonderful.

Thank you Matthew & Madison for having both Andy & I along for your beautiful small wedding.. this is still one of my most favourite wedding I’ve been apart of <3 Thanks for making me cry like a baby and involving us in your planning process <3
